|---|---|---|---|---|
| State | Owner | Project | Description | Status
|
| Status | Kamin | Pytos Development Environment | Tool to import and use nescApps from python, including tools for registry, rpc, hood, and get/set of ram symbols (Described below) | done. available in tools/python |
| Status | Kamin | Nesc Declarations | A script that writes all nesc declarations, such as enums, types, message formats, rpc funcs, module variables, etc to an xml file that can be used by pc-side applications | done. available in tools/make/nescDecls.extra |
| Status | Kamin | Hood | "Hood" data-sharing abstraction re-written using nesC 1.2 and nucleus-like queries | done. available in tos/lib/hood |
| Status | Kamin | Registry | A system to share attributes between modules, using nucleus-like queries, auto caching and persistent store | done. available in tos/lib/Registry |
| Status | Kamin, Jonathan | Registry Store | A system to make registry attributes persistent over reboots and between different program images | done. available in tos/lib/RegistryStore |
| Status | Kamin | Rpc | Service that allows a user to call a function on a remote node. | done. available in tos/lib/Rpc |
| Status | Kamin | Ram Symbols | Ability to poke and peek application heap variables from python | done. available in tos/lib/RamSymbols |
| Status | Prabal, Jaein | Trio | hardware platform and analysis | 8 June 2005 - Code available in CVS repository including Prometheus charging and ADC reading. Trio sensorboard is tested for Prometheus. Schematic review for Trio sensorboard revision. TODO: Getting the revision of sensorboard done and testing. |
| Status | Shawn, John | Monsto Truck | mobile ground platform | 25 May 2005 - Assembled some RF connectors; Ordered new RF cable; Tested new RoboMote code; Chassis should arrive Friday |
| Status | Tanya, Bruno | "Collaborative Security" | collaborative signal analysis for faulty rejection | 01 June 2005 - We are modifying the tracking code to include robust estimation methods. |
| Status | (unassigned) | "Keyed Security" | TinySec, 802.15.4 encryption, etc | (no updates) |
| Status | Gil, Matt M. | Nucleus | Large scale management | 10 May 2005 - There is a small testbed running Nucleus in Intel. Currently, only I can ssh in, wake up the nodes, query them, and put them back to sleep. The Nucleus XML-RPC interface is nearly working. |
| Status | Jonathan, Phil L. | Deluge and Mate | Robust programming and Rapid Retasking | 22 Jun 2005 - Added ability to disseminate opaque data with Deluge images. |
| Status | Kamin | "Self-localization" | Nodes self localize themselves using radio signal strength | 17 May 2005 - Finished backend of hood and registry. Added rpc to the list. Work on porting calamari to new code base. |
| Status | Gilman Tolle | Clog | Mobile routing, multiple destinations | |
| Status | Phoebus, Mike | "Sensing and Identification" | Find a fairly robust algorithm for detection | 11 May 2005 - long grass tests, results, and conclusions. todo: build tython script for optimizing detection parameters using GPS/acoustic ground truth |
| Status | Song | Multiple Object Tracking | ... | June 29, 2005 - It is difficult to get range information from PIR sensors. Based on the binary sensors, a new sensor field model is developed. See Multiple Object Tracking for the sensor layout and simulation results |
| Status | Shawn | Interact | visualization and interface with PDA | 11 May 2005 - Fixed the bugs I was having last week. Works now for basic nucleus queries. todo: Add the remote value setting functionality. |
| Status | David S. | "Asset coordination" | BATS, unmanned aerial vehicles | 25 Apr 2005 - Controller board is running linux and could run the GPS driver for UBlox. |
| Status | Jaein | "Tier 2" | Tier 2 networking, 802.11, etc | 22 June 2005 -
A working tier-2 node running on AC adapters. TODO: running a tier-2 node with a battery and a solar panel. |
| Status | Kamin | "Spotlight" | Laser Pointer in the Field | 10 May 2005 - Shipping a 70mW laser and pan/tilt head unit. Should arrive by 5/12. 650nm laser is confirmed to be in the middle of the sensitivity region of trio solar cells. Pan/tilt head will also work with camera for solution as described by Pister. |
| Status | Sukun | "Straw" | Reliable Data Collection | done. available in contrib/nestfe/nesc/lib/Straw
</table> [edit] OtherIf you're lost, consider milestones for each project: 1) Specification, 2) Simulation, 3) Visualization, 4) Base implementation, 5) Scale implementation. Other Projects
